Blog recap here!

On June 20th, the GNPC, along with gracious hosts Don and Winnie Simmonds, welcomed 25 “Glacier enthusiasts” for a very enjoyable evening of socializing and celebrating Glacier National Park. The rainy, June evening didn’t dampen the spirit of attendees as they enjoyed informative presentations by GNPC co-director Jane Ratzlaff and acting Glacier National Park Superintendent, Kym Hall. Jane updated everyone on the success of the recent merger to form the GNPC, and gave inspirational stories of how our support has such a lasting impact to the Park and its visitors. Kym Hall gave an update on activities in the Park for the summer, current challenges, and informed everyone about summer projects such as the Going-to-the-Sun Road corridor management study, road rehabilitation update, and Logan Pass Mountain Goat study. Kym also discussed the importance of the strong partnership with the Glacier National Park Conservancy, and how we can work through the future challenges that the Park Service will be addressing by working together to help support the needs of Glacier National Park.
