Your generous donations to the Glacier Conservancy provided for the purchase and installation of two ADA compliant water fountain and bottle filling stations in 2019. As a result, every park visitor will have easy, efficient, and safe access to drinking water.

Providing Safe and Easy Access to Drinking Water

One bottle filling station was recently installed at the showcase comfort station in Two Medicine, pictured here. The other will be coming later this summer at the Swiftcurrent picnic area.

As visitation to Glacier continues to rise, the need to provide accessible hydration options throughout the park has become a critical safety issue. This project not only addresses a health and safety concern, but it will go a long way toward helping eliminate the waste related to single-use plastic water bottles, many of which end up in landfills.

Benefiting Conservation and the Visitor Experience

“I am very pleased with how the bottle filling station and water fountain look at the showcase comfort station in Two Medicine,” says Christopher Walker, Glacier National Park’s HBD Utilities Supervisor. “Within seconds of completing the installation and even before we removed the caution tape, we had visitors clamoring to fill their water bottles!”
