Wheeler Cabin Public Comment
February 22, 2022
The Glacier National Park Conservancy will hold a virtual-public information hearing on Thursday, February 24 at 4pm MST to obtain comments regarding the environmental review record for the proposed Burton and Lulu Wheeler Cabin Restoration project.
At the public hearing, the proposed project will be explained, including the purpose and proposed area of the project, activities, budget, possible sources of funding, and any costs that may result for local citizens as a result of the project. All interested persons will be allowed to ask questions and express opinions regarding the proposed project and any environmental impacts.
While the 2022 application is not yet complete, it will be very similar to the 2020 application which is included further below. We’ll be discussing any dissimilarities or changes to the application during the public hearing on Thursday, February 24.
Comments may be given orally at the meeting or submitted in writing before 5pm on Friday, February 25. A video recording will be available upon request if anyone is unable to attend the public hearing on Thursday, February 24.
Anyone wanting to review the environmental review record and project impacts or submit questions and comments should contact Ellen Butler at ellen@glacier.org.
