(COLUMBIA FALLS, MONT.) – The Glacier National Park Conservancy is excited to announce that for the fifth consecutive year, Smith’s Food & Drug Center in Columbia Falls will sponsor a “Round-Up for Glacier” promotion from August 4th – 31st. We are pleased that Smith’s in Kalispell will also be joining the fundraising effort again. Customers will be asked to “roundup” their grocery order to the nearest dollar – with all donations going to GNPC in support of the Transporting Kids to Glacier National Park program.
Smith’s Neighbor to Neighbor Foundation will match these donations up to $2,000. It is anticipated that if $5,000 is raised, this promotion will provide field trips for 15 classrooms within School Districts #5 and #6 in the 2013-2014 school session.
“Extracurricular activities within our school systems may be a luxury during lean budget times. It is our hope that this support will foster the next generation of nature-lovers who will feel connected to Glacier National Park,” said Art Williams, Smith’s Columbia Falls store manager.
