Going-to-the-Sun Road Shuttle
in Glacier National Park
When the vehicle reservation system is in effect, a vehicle reservation is required to access the Going-to-the-Sun Road Corridor.
The St. Mary Visitor Center shuttle stop can be accessed without a reservation.
Summer Shuttle Information
Cost: Free
Dates of operation: Going-to-the-Sun Road opening (late June/early July) through Labor Day.
Hours of operation:
In previous years, the shuttle has has had these hours. They are likely to be similar but not exactly the same for summer 2023.
West side: 7 am to 7 pm. East side: 8 am to 7 pm. Last departure from Logan Pass is at 7 pm.
Shuttles may operate with reduced hours after Labor Day.
Departures: Apgar Visitor Center: Every 30 minutes
St. Mary Visitor Center: Every 40 minutes
Free Shuttle
When the vehicle reservation system is in effect, a vehicle reservation is required to access the Going-to-the-Sun Road Corridor.
Visitors can catch the free two-way shuttle service to Logan Pass from Apgar Visitor Center on the West Side or from St. Mary Visitor Center on the East Side.
From Logan Pass, riders can either return to their starting point or catch another shuttle to the other side of the park. Riding from one side of the park to the other and back takes approximately seven hours.
Shuttles are air conditioned and have large windows ideal for catching sight of the beautiful mountains, valleys, waterfalls, and more on the way to and from Logan Pass.
