Six thousand visitors arrive to Logan Pass every day during the few short months it is open each summer and many of them head out on the 1.5 mile trail to the Hidden Lake Overlook to view some of the most spectacular scenery in all of Glacier. However, the alpine meadow in the area is incredibly fragile. The snow melts, but the area stays wet most of the season. Visitors attempting to keep their feet dry have doubled the width of this trail and added additional trails which continue to damage the delicate plants. This project will add 160 feet of boardwalk to the existing walkway and provide a safe, durable and dry trail surface.
