Young Montana Naturalist Week

Immersing children in outdoor experiences are an important early step in creating lifelong stewards of the wilderness. Young Montana Naturalist Week will encourage students to develop a meaningful and lasting relationship with their public lands while also reducing their dependency on screens and technology for enjoyment.

In partnership with the Boys and Girls Club, this program will connect youth with the natural and cultural resources of Glacier National Park through on-trail education, scientific inquiry and creative expression. 24 middle school youth will spend five days in the park learning about water quality and testing, carnivore ecology, geology and glaciology, plant ecology and identification, and cultural history.
